The Resilient Family: How to actively help your kids detoxify – with Dr Jesse Pierce (video)
As part of the Resilient Family interview series I interviewed Dr Jesse Pierce about how and why parents should be actively helping their kids detoxify. The goal of these interviews is to give parents like you simple strategies to raise healthy kids naturally.
Here’s some of what we talked about…
- Why living “green” and avoiding plastics and chemicals in our home is important, but is not enough… and what we should be doing as well
- The implications of toxicity on our health and our kids’ health (she’s got some great case studies to illustrate the deep impact when this missing link is addressed!)
- The top detox strategies that are brining her patients amazing health results and what you can do at home.
“Resilience” is eroded by the accumulation of environmental, social and biological stressors. If we want to “Raise Resilience” we need to actively reduce stressors and improve nourishment – that’s the “2-pronged approach” that I talk about in my book.
As our environment becomes more and more toxin-filled, our detox systems (with which we are thankfully equipped) are becoming less able to tolerate the load. And because of that, resilience is eroding.
So, sadly, we are the first generation of parents that really needs to be actively involved in supporting the detox process.
To do that, you need to understand it, and you need strategies. That’s what you’ll get in this interview…
