Picky Eating, Tummy Pain, and Meltdowns Aren’t "Just a Phase"...
They’re Messages From the Gut
Â
Our Gut Assessment is Designed Just for Children
(because kids are not just little adults)
Questions our kid-specific microbiome assessment can answer...Â
âś… What's contributing to belly pain and constipation?
✅ Is gut health contributing to their anxiety, ADHD, depression, or tantrums?
✅ Is their gut health contributing to meltdowns, sleep struggles, or constant illnesses?
âś…Â Is your child digesting all that great food you're giving them?
✅ What foods should you focus on right now?
✅ What foods should you pull back on right now?
âś…Â What specific types of probiotics may help right now (and which will make matters worse)?
âś…Â Are they at high risk for allergy, asthma, eczema, autoimmune problems or weight problems?
✅ What can you do to support their immune resilience?
When the Gut Finds Calm, So Does Your Child
👉 Yes, I want to check my child’s gut healthBut Wait... Kids are not just little adults.
Before You Test Your Child’s Gut, Read This First 👇
Not all microbiome tests are designed for kids.
Here are 4 things every parent needs to know to get answers that actually help.
Â
1. A child’s microbiome is a living system, still under construction.
A child's microbiome goes through major shifts as they grow. When assessing microbial balance, we need to use age-specific reference ranges, not adult baselines.
2. Technology matters.
It's particularly important with kids that we get a broad view of the gut because their microbiomes are less “settled” than those of adults. Using a test that can spot imbalances and risk patterns is key. Â
3. We don't just want to know which microbes are there; we want to know what they’re doing.
Knowing whether key microbes are present is useful, but doesn’t tell the full story. What really matters is what they're doing. A good test will tell you who is there and what they're doing.
4. Microbial patterns can influence risk for common childhood conditions.
Early gut imbalances are linked to increased risk for eczema, asthma, food allergies, diabetes, obesity, anxiety, and even neurodevelopmental challenges. While microbiome testing can’t diagnose a condition, it can help identify patterns associated with increased vulnerability, so we can take steps to reduce that risk.
 That’s exactly why I created the Kid-Specific Microbiome Assessment!Â
Your assessment will consider developmental context, use cutting-edge technology, and evaluate both who is there and what they're doing to shape your child's immune, digestive, metabolic, and cognitive development.
You'll have meaningful insights into your child’s current and future health!

You're Not Just Getting AÂ Gut TestÂ
This is something far more than a lab report. Here’s what makes this different:Â
âś… You get nutrition guidance, not just lab data.
When the results come in, you’re not left to figure it out alone. You'll receive food-based strategies grounded in the latest research and tailored to the realities of feeding real kids.Â
âś… Support starts right away.
You don’t have to sit around waiting for test results to feel like you're making progress. As soon as you sign up, you get immediate access to symptom guides, meal strategies, and practical steps to start supporting your child’s gut right now.Â
✅ You’re not doing this alone.
You'll be invited into our private parent community where you can ask questions, share wins, and connect with others who get it.
No judgment, no chaos, just honest conversations and real support.Â
âś… Access to our resource library.
This includes my complete collection of tools for digestive health: constipation relief guides, gut-healing meal ideas, at-home assessments, supplement guides, and more.
✅ You’re not just fixing a gut, you’re raising a whole human.
We zoom out to look at the full picture: gut-brain-immune health, nervous system regulation, nutrient gaps, emotional wellbeing, and how it all connects. Because your child is more than their symptoms, and your support should reflect that.Â
Â
If you're looking for a quick PDF report and a few generic tips, this probably isn’t the right fit.
Â
But if you want to start building a stronger foundation for their long-term health, this is your path forward.
We're Including 4 Live Parent Workshops
To Help You Put It Into Practice
Â
Alongside your child’s gut test and assessment, you’ll also get access to four live online workshops designed to help you turn the results into practical, family-friendly action.
Workshop 1:Â Talking to Your Kids About Gut Bugs
Learn what you need to know about the microbiome and how use simple, reassuring language so your kids can understand the “tiny teammates” and “troublemakers” that we'll be looking for.
Workshop 2: Daily Habits To Strengthen Gut-Brain Pathways
We'll focus on simple non-food tools that strengthen digestion and help kids feel more settled.
Workshop 3: Feeding the Hidden HeroesÂ
Meet the “hidden heroes” your child’s gut depends on, and learn to introduce kid-friendly foods that protect their microbiome including gently introducing fermented foods and healing herbs and spices.
Workshop 4: Calming the Brain-To-Gut Communication
The Gut-Brain connection is a two way street and working from both directions yields the best results! We'll focus on simple, gentle nervous system support strategies that help digestion and gut health.

Hey I'm Jess Sherman. I'll be your guide.Â
I'm a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner, Board Certified in Practical Holistic Nutrition. I'm also the author of Raising Resilience; take the stress out of feeding your family & love your life, and I'm mom of three.
For over 20 years I've been teaching parents how to support the mental and physical health of their kids. Plus, I know what it means to be a busy mom who just wants her kids to be healthy.Â
I've studied a number of different diet approaches that can help digestion - like GAPS, Paleo, low FODMAPs and more - and I use that insight along with my training in functional testing and the developing nervous system to help parents find a plan that's do-able and that helps their kids feel happier and more settled.
You've got questions, I'm sure...
